DirecTV Stream is expanding its offerings by adding eight additional The CW affiliates to its lineup

On Thursday, DirecTV Stream announced the addition of eight new The CW affiliates to its channel lineup, expanding its coverage to markets such as Boston, Cleveland, Phoenix, and San Diego. This move comes as a result of an agreement forged between The CW and DirecTV last autumn.
With these latest inclusions, DirecTV Stream now offers an even broader selection of broadcast stations, according to the pay TV provider.
Notably, DirecTV Stream already carries The CW stations under the control of Nexstar Media Group, as well as most of Sinclair's CW affiliates. However, it's worth mentioning that DirecTV has encountered legal disputes with Nexstar and has maintained a stance of not paying retransmission fees to stations not affiliated with the major networks—ABC, CBS, NBC, or Fox.
The newly added stations to DirecTV Stream's lineup are as follows:
WLVI Boston, owned by Sunbeam Television-owned WHDH.
WCCB Charlotte, owned by Bahakel Communications.
WKRC-D2 Cincinnati, owned by Sinclair.
WUAB Cleveland, owned by Gray Television.
WCCT Hartford-New Haven, Connecticut, owned by Tegna.
KAZT Phoenix, owned by KAZT LLC (managed by Nexstar).
KFMB-D2 San Diego, owned by Tegna.
KUNS, Seattle-Tacoma, owned by Sinclair.
